Southern Railway has announced that special trains would be operated from Bandra Terminus to Velankanni and back in view of the Velankanni festival.

The special trains would be run to clear the extra rush of passengers.

The Bandra Terminus – Velankanni special (Train No. 09003) will leave Bandra Terminus at 10.50 p.m. on September 6 and reach Velankanni at 1.30 p.m. on September 8. The Velankanni – Bandra Terminus special (Train No. 09004) will leave Velankanni at 12.45 a.m. on September 9 and reach Bandra at 6.50 p.m. on September 10.

The trains will stop at Borivali, Vasai Road, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Solapur, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Manthralayam road, Adoni, Guntakkal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Muddanuru, Yerraguntala, Cuddapah, Rajampeta, Koduru, Renigunta, Arakkonam, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Tiruppadirippuliyur, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam.

Train no. 09003 will stop at Daund also. Advance reservation for Train No. 09004 has commenced, a release said.
