If you deleted a contact in the last 30 days, you can move it out of your Trash.
- To open Trash, you need to have automatic sync turned on
- Trash is only available when your device is online. If your device is offline or doesn’t have a network connection, it won’t load until you go online.
Important: If the deleted contact wasn’t stored in your Google Account, you can’t recover it.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Contacts app
 .
- At the top right, select the Google Account that has the contact you moved to the Trash.
- At the top left, tap Menu
  Trash.
- Select an option.
- A single contact: Tap the contact Recover.
- Multiple contacts:
- Touch and hold a contact and then tap the other contacts.
- Tap More
 Recover.
- All contacts: Tap More Select all More Recover.
Undo changes to contacts
You can undo any changes you made to your contacts during the past 30 days, all at once.
Important: Contacts deleted permanently from your Trash can’t be recovered.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Contacts app .
- At the top left, tap Menu
 Settings.
- Under “Manage contacts,” tap Undo changes. If asked, choose which Google Account you want to change.
- Choose a time to go back to.
- Tap Confirm.

Restore contacts from backups
- Open your phone’s Settings app.
- Tap Google.
- Tap Set up & restore.
- Tap Restore contacts.
- If you have multiple Google Accounts, to choose which account’s contacts to restore, tap From account.
- Tap the phone with the contacts to copy.

Doing so will invoke a pop-up window with different backup dates: Custom – Enter a number of days, hours, and/or minutes to revert back to. Click a backup time. This will set it as your recovery option. For example, selecting 1 hour ago will restore any contacts you deleted between now and sixty minutes ago.
