If you deleted a contact in the last 30 days, you can move it out of your Trash.

  • To open Trash, you need to have automatic sync turned on
  • Trash is only available when your device is online. If your device is offline or doesn’t have a network connection, it won’t load until you go online.

Important: If the deleted contact wasn’t stored in your Google Account, you can’t recover it.

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Contacts app .
  2. At the top right, select the Google Account that has the contact you moved to the Trash.
