Onam 2014 Special Trains for Kerala and Tamil Nadu

In a rare gesture, Southern Railway will run a handful of namesake special trains in September 2014 on the occasion of the Onam festival in Kerala between various destinations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala and also Mangalore Jn (Kankanady). However, as usual, there are no special trains between Bangalore and Kerala announced yet. It looks like even though the railways are desperately short of money, they really do not want to make use of the easiest money-spinner route in South India. Meanwhile, South central Railway (SCR), maybe the best zone in the country, has announced Premium Onam specials of its own from Hyderabad via Andhra Pradesh and no stops in Tamil Nadu!
